How to configure notification defaults for new Sites

Note: This page covers instance-level administration in App management. It is used by Global Administrators.

This guide shows you how to edit the instance-level notification template defaults that AlloyScan copies into every newly created Site.

New Sites receive these defaults when they are created. Changes to the defaults do not automatically update existing Sites; use Copy to site(s) to apply a template to selected existing Sites.

Prerequisites

  • You are signed in as a Global Administrator. App-management screens are not visible to Site Administrators.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Admin Center > App management > Site template > Notification templates.
  2. Click a template name in System, Administrative, or Standard. For a Conditional template, expand its event group first.
  3. Edit the template content: Subject, Greeting, Message, and Signature. For Conditional templates, also review Trigger conditions.
  4. Save.

Verify

These defaults are copied at Site creation. To verify the seed actually applies:

  1. Create a new Site (Admin Center > App management > Sites > + New site).
  2. Open the new Site's Admin Center > Notifications > Notification templates.
  3. The templates you edited in the App-management defaults appear in the new Site with the new content.

Restore a standard template

Use Reset to restore the standard template supplied with your installed AlloyScan release, including any improvements introduced in that release. This replaces any customizations to the template.

  1. In Site template > Notification templates, open the More (⋮) menu for the modified template and select Reset.
  2. In Reset to system defaults, confirm with Reset. The reset takes effect without a separate Save.

Reset replaces your customizations in the Site template. Existing Sites retain their templates until you explicitly copy the restored template to them.

Copy a template to existing Sites

  1. In Site template > Notification templates, review the template you want to apply. To use the current system template, reset it first as described above.
  2. Open its More (⋮) menu and select Copy to site(s).
  3. In Site, select one or more target Sites, then click Copy to site(s). Wait for Successfully copied.
  4. Repeat for each template you want to apply.

IMPORTANT: Copying replaces the corresponding template content on the selected Sites, including Site-specific text customizations. Review those customizations before copying.
