About Operational Settings
Use Admin Center > Settings for per-Site configuration that governs how AlloyScan audits, prunes, and retains operational data on the current Site.
This section is intentionally split into separate topics because these pages do different jobs. They should not be treated as one generic "Settings" bucket.

What belongs here
The Settings area contains:
- Scan schedules
- Audit schedules
- Audit settings, with General, Audit Agent, and Audit Service tabs
- Inventory settings
- Change tracking
- Tools
Why this section matters
These settings affect how the current Site collects and retains data.
Examples:
- The Audit Service tab controls inactivity cleanup and cloud-module behavior for Audit Services
- The Audit Agent tab controls inactivity cleanup and automatic tagging for agent-audited devices
- The General tab controls whether Windows audits collect recent Critical and Error events
- Inventory settings control when stale devices are pruned
- Windows MachineId fallback controls how AlloyScan handles repeated BIOS UUIDs on devices that would otherwise look like duplicates
- Change tracking controls whether deltas are recorded at all, and for how long
Scope note
Everything here is per-Site. These settings do not change other Sites on the same instance.
