Administration Guide
How to create a Site
This guide shows you how to create a new Site (tenant) on the AlloyScan instance.
Prerequisites
Note: This page covers instance-level administration in App Management. It is used by Global Administrators.
- You sign in as a Global Administrator — only this role can create Sites.
- You have decided on a Title, a Slug (URL identifier), and a Time zone for the new Site.
- The Site Template at Admin Center > App management > Site template is in the state you want copied into the new Site.
- You have planned the per-Site quotas (Max users, Max audited nodes, Max audits per month, Max API transactions per month). If you want the Site to inherit instance-level caps, you can leave these as
0.
Steps
- Sign in to AlloyScan as a Global Administrator.
- Open Admin Center > App management > Sites.
- Click + New site.
- Enter the Site Title (display name).
- Enter the Slug — this becomes the path component of every URL for the Site. Choose a short, lowercase, URL-safe identifier.
- Choose the Time zone for the Site. Log timestamps and schedule "next execution" times use this time zone.
- Optionally upload an Avatar (PNG / JPG / JPEG / WebP) for the Site.
- Save the form to create the Site.
Important: AlloyScan copies the current instance Site Template into the new Site at creation. Subsequent changes to the Site Template do not update existing Sites — apply changes directly on each Site if you need to retrofit them.
After creation
- Open Admin Center > Site Settings > Organization profile on the new Site to fine-tune Title, Slug, Site avatar, and Site limits (Max users, Max audited nodes, Max audits per month, Max API transactions per month). Use
0to inherit the instance cap. - Provision the first Site Administrator at Admin Center > Site Settings > IAM > Users.
- Configure Site-specific items as needed: snapshot storage, change tracking, notification templates, audit services.
Verify
- Open the Site URL
https://<instance>.alloyservice.com/<slug>in a browser and confirm the Dashboard loads. - Confirm the Site appears in the Admin Center > App management > Sites grid with the correct Title, Slug, and Time zone.
- Confirm the seeded defaults are visible in Admin Center > Site Settings.
