About Custom Audit Fields
Use Admin Center > Site Settings > Customization > Custom audit fields to define Site-specific fields that AlloyScan adds to audited device records.
Scope
Custom audit fields are per-Site. A field created in one Site is not visible in another Site.
What this area is for
Use Custom audit fields when the built-in inventory schema is not enough and you need:
- an extra device attribute
- a script-populated audit value
- a manual field on the device form
- an extra column for Inventory, reports, or change tracking
How the model works
Each field is bound to a device type, and optionally to a subtype. The value can come from:
- a script
- native audit data
- manual entry
Once created, the field can surface in Inventory, reports, and Change tracking.
