About Global Notification Templates
Use App management > Notification templates for notification templates that belong to the AlloyScan instance rather than to one current Site.
This page is easy to confuse with two other notification-template surfaces. They have different scopes and should not be treated as interchangeable.
Note: This page covers instance-level administration in App Management. It is used by Global Administrators.

What global templates are for
Global notification templates apply to instance-level events and are grouped into System and Administrative categories.
For events that belong to a specific Site, use Site Settings > Notifications > Notification templates.
Global templates vs Site Template defaults
App management > Notification templates contains active templates for instance-level events.
App management > Site template > Notification templates defines the default templates copied into newly created Sites. Changes to these defaults do not affect existing Sites.
