About Global Notification Templates
Note: This page covers instance-level administration in App management. It is used by Global Administrators.
Use App management > Notification templates to configure active notification templates for instance-level events.

What global templates are for
The global catalog contains two categories:
- System — New user email confirmation and Welcome to application.
- Administrative — App registration expires in 30 days, App registration expires in 7 days, and App registration has expired.
System notifications are sent automatically when the corresponding event occurs; they do not require subscriptions. Global Administrative notifications are sent to subscribers when the corresponding event occurs, through their selected delivery channels.
To subscribe, a Global Administrator opens the bell icon, selects Manage alert subscriptions, and opens the Global tab. Select Subscribe for a notification and choose In-app, Email, or both.
Global templates vs Site template defaults
App management > Notification templates contains active templates for instance-level events.
App management > Site template > Notification templates defines the default templates copied into newly created Sites. Changes do not automatically affect existing Sites; a Global Administrator can copy a template to selected Sites.
