How to change the theme

This guide shows you how to switch the AlloyScan UI between system, light, and dark themes.

The theme is a per-user preference and applies to your account on every site you have access to.

Prerequisites

  • You are signed in to AlloyScan.

Steps

  1. Click your avatar + name in the top-right of the header.

  2. In the floating user menu, locate the Theme row. The row exposes three icon buttons:

    • System (monitor icon) — follow your operating system or browser preference.
    • Light (sun icon) — force the light theme.
    • Dark (moon icon) — force the dark theme.

  3. Click the icon for the theme you want. The currently selected theme stays highlighted.

  4. The change takes effect immediately. Keep the menu open to compare, or click outside to dismiss.

Verify

  • The page background and text colours update to match the chosen theme.
  • The highlighted icon in the Theme row matches your selection.
  • The theme persists when you navigate to other pages and when you sign back in.
