How to run a report

This guide shows you how to open a built-in or custom report, render it against your current inventory, and export or print the output.

Prerequisites

  • You can sign in to AlloyScan as an Administrator or User.
  • The current site has enough audited inventory to populate the template you intend to run. A new site with no audits will legitimately produce empty output for templates such as Not Audited.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Reports on the left rail.
  2. Locate the template you want to run. Use the Default View selector or the search box to narrow the list. Built-in and custom templates appear together, sorted by Name.
  3. Click the report Name to open it.
  4. Confirm the mode toggle on the top-right shows PREVIEW highlighted. The Report viewer renders the report against current site inventory and displays it as paginated content.
  5. Use the toolbar to navigate the output:
    • Page navigator (|◀ ◀ ▶ ▶|) and the page-count selector to move between pages.
    • Thumbnails to scan pages visually.
    • The zoom slider and Whole Page dropdown to adjust display size.
    • Search to find text within the rendered report.
    • Fullscreen to expand the viewer.
  6. To print, click the print icon on the toolbar and use your browser print dialog.
  7. To export, click the download icon on the toolbar and choose a format from the menu.
  8. Close the viewer with the modal close control when you are done.

Verify

  • The viewer body shows rendered content (pages, tables, headers) rather than a red error banner.
  • The page navigator displays a non-zero page count for templates that should produce data on your site.
  • Exported files open in their target application (PDF reader, spreadsheet, etc.) and contain the same data you saw on screen.

Note: If the viewer shows a red error banner instead of report content, see Troubleshooting.
