Preview: This feature is in preview and subject to change.

Use a Jamf segment when you want AlloyScan to discover and audit macOS computers, iPhone / iPad devices, and other Apple mobile devices through Jamf Pro.

INFO: Jamf credentials are used to securely access Jamf Pro inventory and run the provider-specific audit flow.

Prerequisites

  • Site Administrator role.
  • An Audit Service that can run the provider-specific audit task.
  • A Jamf credential with the required fields:
  • Title
  • Jamf Pro server root URL
  • Login
  • Password
  • Confirm password

Steps

  1. Navigate to Network > Segments.
  2. Click + New segment.
  3. On the Segment type page, select Jamf and click Next.
  4. In Step 1 - Select or install audit service, pick an Audit Service to run the audit.
  5. In Step 2 - Jamf, review the automatically generated segment name and change it if needed. Then select one or more resources to scan: Mac, iPhone / iPad, and Other Apple devices.
