How to create an Analytics chart

Use an Analytics chart when you need a saved visualization over AlloyScan inventory, cloud, or device-component data.

Prerequisites

  • Administrator role.
  • Audited data exists for the source you want to chart.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Analytics.
  2. Click + New chart.
  3. On Create new chart, select a data source.
  4. Use Search sources if you need to filter the source list.
  5. Click Next.
  6. In Chart Settings > General, enter a chart Name.
  7. Choose a chart type.
  8. Add data fields, group records with Group By (X-axis), or adjust the Metric (Y-axis) as needed.
  9. Optional: Open Filter and add embedded filters for the chart.
  10. Optional: Open Options and adjust colors, display options, or axis labels.
  11. Review the live chart preview.
  12. Click Save.

After the chart is saved, it appears in the Analytics list.

Review and export a chart

  1. Navigate to Analytics.
  2. Open the chart.
  3. Optional: Adjust the runtime date filter or click Add filter to refine the current view.
  4. Select Visualization, Summarized data, or Raw data.
  5. Click Export and choose an export option for the selected mode.

Add the chart to the Dashboard

  1. Navigate to Dashboard.
  2. Enter edit mode.
  3. In the widget palette, find the saved Analytics chart.
  4. Add it to the current dashboard.
  5. Move or resize the widget if needed.
  6. Click Save.

The Analytics widget remains on the dashboard after reload.
