  • Links: Displays a collection of links to internal and external resources. This widget can include both pre-configured links, such as a link to the Alloy Software Web page, and custom links, such as links to files (including shortcuts to applications), folders, hyperlinks to HTML pages on the Internet or Intranet. For details on configuring widgets of this type, see Configuring a Links widget.

NOTE: This widget is available only in the Desktop App, which is currently being deprecated.

  • Table: Displays a portion of Alloy Navigator Expressdata. This widget allows users to view important data (for example, overdue Tickets) on the dashboard and easily open the details of any Alloy Navigator Expressobject this widget contains. For details on configuring widgets of this type, see Configuring a Table widget.

  • Views: Displays a list of shared views for various Alloy Navigator Expressdata grids and allows opening these views directly from the dashboard. For details on configuring widgets of this type, see Configuring a Views widget.

Each subsection of the General > Dashboard Management > Widgets section corresponds to the particular type of widgets and displays widgets of this type only. Moreover, widgets are classified by their type in the Dashboard Designer window, which is opened when you are creating or modifying a dashboard.

To view widgets of a particular type:

  • In the Customization > General > Dashboard Management > Widgets section, open the [Widget Type] subsection corresponding to the necessary type of widgets. The opened subsection displays all widgets of the selected type.

NOTE: If you want to open or modify a particular widget, you can open its properties directly from the Dashboard Designer window during dashboard modification.
