Creating Tasks

Project Tasks can be created in many different ways:

• You can create Tasks in the Desktop App.

• You can create Tasks in the Web App using a Gantt Chart or a Tasks tab of a Project (for details, see Adding records).

• Your Alloy Navigator administrator can configure the Mail Connector tool to automatically convert e-mail messages into Tasks.

The following actions are available that create Task records:

• Task - creates a new Task record.

• Milestone - creates a new Task record associated with a milestone to indicate critical point within a Project.

• Sub-Task - create a child Task within a parent record. This action is available on the Sub-Tasks tab of any Task record. For details, see Creating hierarchy of Tasks.
