Organization records
An organization record allows you to describe a particular company, department, office, branch, or another unit that is part of an organization or a larger unit.
You can build and maintain a hierarchical tree of Organizations to reflect the actual structure of the parent Organization. For details, see Creating a hierarchy of Organization records.
Alloy Navigator automatically creates Organization records when importing user data from the Active Directory and from audit snapshots collected by Alloy Discovery. You can also create Organization records manually.
An open Organization record shows the top pane and a number of tabs. The top pane displays the following fields:
Name - shows the name of the Organization.
ID - shows the automatically generated number of the Organization record.
Status - displays the status of the Organization record. The list of statuses is defined by your Alloy Navigator administrator.
