Relationships tab

On the Relationships tab, you can see the list of all objects related to the open object and manage these relationships.

You can view relationships either as an interactive map (Viewing the Relationships map), or as a grid. From both views you can:

• Open any related object to view or edit its details (double-click the relationship).

• Create, modify, or delete a relationship between this object and another one (for details, see Relating objects).

TIP: To filter the list of relationships by Tickets (includes Change Requests, Incidents, Problems, Work Orders and Service Requests ) , or by CIs (includes Computers, Hardware, Networks, Documents, Configurations, and Software Licenses) , use the drop-down list in the upper-left corner of the tab bar. To view all relationships, select ALL.

Additionally, in View as map mode you can perform workflow actions on relationships directly from the relationship map. Clicking More Options (the icon with three vertical dots) next to a relationship opens a context menu, presenting you with a range of actions to choose from.

The list of relationships includes:

• The objects directly related to the main object by using the commands on the Relationships tab. For these relationships you can perform the following actions:

  • Changing the relationship type

  • Deleting relations

• The objects related through other commands, which are displayed at the same time in the Related CI, Related Problem, Change Request, and Associated CI fields (if applicable) on the General tab or on the Related Incidents tab of a Problem. These relations are available on this tab for viewing only. You can change these relations by editing the relevant fields.

• The objects related to the relationships. The relationships are shown as a hierarchical grid tree or as a map (see Viewing the Relationships map. When you access this tab, the tree may be collapsed. To expand a node and view the nested relations, click the black triangle (or the plus sign) next to the node name. To collapse a node, click the black triangle (or the minus sign) again. These relationships are shown on this tab for viewing only. You can edit these relationships from one of the directly related objects' records.
