Update the bot configuration in Alloy Navigator

Updated in 2022.1

The Alloy Self-Service Assistant bot configuration is an XML document stored in the Alloy Navigator database. The configuration controls how the bot interacts with Alloy Navigator. Our documentation always describes and includes the most recent configuration version. This article helps you decide whether you need to update to the newest version and gives instructions on how to update it.

INFO: For the bot configuration description and the download link, see Configure the Alloy Self-Service Assistant bot in Alloy Navigator.

APPLIESĀ TO: Alloy Navigator Enterprise 2021 and earlier. Started with version 2022.1, the bot configuration comes with Alloy Navigator, so you do not have to download or import any files.

Should you update the existing bot configuration?

If you have the previous bot configuration imported, follow this simple rule to decide whether to update your existing configuration:

  • If you don't need the new functionality, continue with your existing bot configuration.
