Managing security roles
Security roles define which Alloy Discovery objects users can access and which actions they can perform on Alloy Discovery objects. Once you define roles, you can create accounts and assign these roles to users. A role grants same permissions to all its members; a user can have membership in multiple roles.
Alloy Discovery has three predefined roles:

Administrator - grants all permissions, which are Administration, Audit Management, and Sharing Local Views. This role allows complete and unrestricted access to all functions. When creating the Alloy Discovery database, you create the administrative account for managing all tasks and assign the Administrator role to this account.

Auditor - grants the Audit Management permission. This role allows its members to discover and audit nodes and manage their own tasks.

Viewer - does not explicitly grant any permissions. This role allows its members only to access the Desktop App and view the audit results.
