Chart widgets

Introduced in 2026

Chart widgets display interactive analytics based on your organization’s ITSM and ITAM data. Using the Analytics editor, you can build charts without writing queries by selecting a data source, visualization type, grouping fields, metrics, and filters.

Chart widgets use the same chart editor as analytics created under Reports > Analytics. For details, see Modifying charts.

To configure a Chart widget:

  1. Open a dashboard.

  2. Click Customize Dashboard in the upper-right corner. The widget library opens.

  3. Click Actions (three dots) and select New Widget > Chart.

  4. In the chart editor:

    • select a data source;

    • choose a visualization type on the General tab, such as Vertical bar, Horizontal bar, Line, Area, Donut, or Pie;

    • in Available properties to display, select the fields that will be available for chart configuration;

    • in the Display section, configure Group By and Metric values;

    • optionally add filters and formatting options;

    • enter a widget name.

    INFO: For detailed instructions, see Creating charts

  5. On the Sharing tab, choose who can access the widget:

    • Only me: Keeps the widget private and visible only to you.

    • Everyone: Makes the widget visible to all users.

    • Specific people or groups: Shares the widget with selected users and/or groups.

  6. Save the widget.

    The widget is now available to add to dashboards.

NOTE: Chart widgets use the same editor as other analytics widgets: Counter and Table. If you select a different visualization type (for example, Counter), the widget appears in the corresponding category in the widget library.
