Mobile client requirements

Alloy Navigator Express comes with three native mobile applications: Alloy Navigator and Alloy Inventory Scanner for IT specialists and managers, and Alloy Self-Service for end users. This page describes the requirements for all Alloy mobile apps.

Prerequisites

Alloy mobile apps connect to Alloy Navigator Express through the native API integration. Depending on your deployment, additional setup may be required.

Deployment Requirements

Cloud

No additional setup is required. The API module is included and preconfigured as part of your cloud environment.

On-premises

Install and configure the API module for Access Token authentication. For details, see Installing and Configuring the API Module.

Alloy Navigator

Current app version: 2.4

Designed for technicians and IT managers, Alloy Navigator provides mobile access to all ITSM and ITAM operations. Technicians can manage tickets, changes, and IT assets, and access announcements and knowledge base articles on the go.

The Alloy Navigator mobile app is available for iOS and Android devices.

Alloy Inventory Scanner

Alloy Inventory Scanner provides mobile asset tracking and physical inventory capabilities for Alloy Navigator Express. Technicians can scan asset barcodes or QR codes, view asset details, and confirm asset locations on the spot, even when working offline.

The Alloy Inventory Scanner mobile app is available for iOS and Android devices.

Alloy Self-Service

Alloy Self-Service provides end users with mobile access to the Alloy Navigator Express's Self-Service Portal. Users can find answers in the knowledge base, report issues, request services, track request status, and stay informed about announcements and approvals from their mobile device.

The Alloy Self-Service mobile app is available for iOS and Android devices.
