Converting Accounts

If you want to convert between Technician and SSP Customer, it is not necessary to create and configure new Alloy Navigator Express accounts. You can convert the type of an existing one as follows:

To convert a Technician account into a SSP account:

  1. From the Sidebar, navigate to Accounts and Roles > Accounts.
  2. Double-click a Technician account. The User Account dialog box appears.
  3. Click Convert to SSP Account. The system displays a warning message advising you about risks.

    If necessary, you can update Account information, change Status, and User access level. For details, see Modifying SSP Customer Accounts.

  4. Click OK.

To convert a SSP account into Technician account :

  1. Go to Accounts and Roles > Accounts.

  2. Double-click the account to modify. The User Account window opens.

  3. Click Convert toTechnical Account. The system displays a warning message advising you about risks.

    If necessary, you can update Account information, change Status, and License. For details, see Creating Technician Accounts.

  4. Click OK.
