Tracked Software records

You create Tracked Software records for the software for which you want to track license compliance. Tracked Software records are the links that you establish between Software Products imported from Alloy Discovery and Software Licenses that you create in Alloy Navigator.

A single Tracked Software record can join a number of Software Products (for example, different versions of the same software) and include several Software Licenses.

To access the Tracked Software grid, select either Software Asset Management > Tracked Software in the Sidebar, or Go > Tracked Software from the main menu.

The top pane of an open Tracked Software window displays the name, ID and the status of the Tracked Software. The list of possible statuses is defined by your Alloy Navigator administrator.

Below the top pane, the following tabs are available:

• Custom Data tab (optional)

• Related Objects tab

• Notes tab
