Creating layouts
To create a layout:
-
In the General > Dashboard Management > Layouts section, click New. The DashboardLayout Designer window opens.
TIP: To base a new layout on an existing one, you can copy it and then modify as needed.
-
Under Properties, specify a name for the new layout.
-
Configure the layout grid:
The grid is divided into cells by rows and columns. You can break each row into multiple columns and add multiple rows to each column. New rows and columns are added using the New Row and New Column buttons and deleted using the Delete button:
-
To add a row to the bottom of the layout, select any top-level row and click New Row. A new column will be added automatically inside the newly created row.
-
To add a row inside a column, select this column and click New Row. A new column will be added automatically inside the new row.
-
To add a column, select the row where you want to place the new column and click New Column. In the New Column window, specify whether the column width will be chosen automatically or specify its width either in percents or pixels. To change the column properties, select the column and click Edit.
-
To remove a row or column from the layout, select it and click Delete.
NOTE: When removing a row or column, all its subordinate rows and columns are also removed.
NOTE: Each row contains at least one column. When a row contains only a single column, this column cannot be removed.
-
If needed, rearrange columns and rows within the layout by clicking the Move Up and Move Down buttons.
-
Click OK.
