Scheduling the Self-Service Portal Search List report

Alloy Navigator comes with a ready-to use, pre-configured scheduled report Daily SSP Searches Report. You may want to use that report to automatically get notified whenever Self Service Portal customers fail to find anything when searching the Knowledge Base or tickets. This article describes how to enable the automatic generation of the Daily SSP Searches Report report and how to customize that report if needed.

IMPORTANT: To enable scheduled reports, the Automation Server must be configured and running. For details, see Configuring the Automation Server.

To schedule the SSP Search List report:

  1. From the Sidebar, go to the Services > Scheduled Reports > Reports section, double-click the Daily SSP Searches Report. The Scheduled Report window opens.

  2. If you want to change the default report name, assign a special name for the report under Name.

  3. Select the Enabled check box to enable the reporting job.

  4. In the Report Name field, keep SSP Search List. This report contains statistics for searches that Self Service Portal customers perform in the Knowledge Base and Tickets.

  5. Choose the report output format in the Format drop-down list: PDF, HTML, Excel, etc.

  6. By default, the report contains statistics only for failed searches, i.e. when the SSP search query does not return any records. Empty reports are not generated. This default configuration is usually sufficient.

  7. By default, reports are send to the Alloy Navigator administrator.

  8. By default, reports are auto-generated once a day. To change this, under Schedule, click Change and modify the schedule as needed. For details, see Specifying the schedule.

  9. Click OK to save your settings. The reporting job now is ready for work.
