Auditing Network Nodes

After you have created Sites, deployed Inventory Analyzer packages, and automated the audit as needed, Alloy Discovery will start automatically populating your Sites with the audit information about Network Nodes in accordance with the schedules and automation scenarios that you have set.

However, you can perform the following on-demand operations to receive up-to-the-minute information:

• Discover computers and network devices in Sites. For details, see Discovering Network Nodes.
• Audit computers, Chromebooks and network devices on demand. For details, see Auditing Network Nodes On Demand.
• Check Audit Sources for agent-based audit methods for new snapshots. For details, see Checking Audit Sources for New Snapshots.

NOTE: All the network nodes that were manually excluded from Sites cannot be discovered or audited until removed from the Excluded Lists. For details, see Defining Excluded Nodes.
