Views widgets

A Views widget displays a list of shared data views for various Alloy Navigator Express records and allows opening these views directly from the dashboard.

To configure a View widget:

1. Open a dashboard.

2. Click Customize Dashboard in the upper-right corner. The widget library opens.

3. To create a new widget:

   1. Click Actions (three dots).

   2. Select New Widget > Views.

4. On the Settings tab, configure:

   • Title: Name displayed on dashboards and in the widget library.

   • Views > Add: Select views to appear in the widget.

     For each selected view, you can configure a custom caption, if needed.

5. Drag views to change their display order.

6. On the Sharing tab, choose who can access the widget:

   • Only me: Keeps the widget private and visible only to you.

   • Everyone: Makes the widget visible to all users.

   • Specific people or groups: Shares the widget with selected users and/or groups.

   IMPORTANT: Widget sharing controls who can see the widget on dashboards. Individual views may still be shared with a different audience, and users can only access views available to them.

7. Save the widget.

   The widget is now available to add to dashboards.
