Chart Preview window
The Chart Preview window allows you to preview the chart as well as the chart source table. You can also use this window to customize the default chart colors and to switch between filtering conditions when the view-based chart has multiple chart filters.
To access the Chart Preview window, click Preview in the Chart Widget Properties window when creating or modifying the Chart widget.
The Chart Preview window contains the following sections:

The button with the filter name in the upper-right corner - displays the current chart filter and allows you to select another one. This button is displayed only for view-based charts with multiple chart filters. For details, see Changing the chart filter.

Preview pane in the center - displays the chart built on actual Alloy Navigator Express data according to chart properties specified in the Chart Widget Properties window and the chart filter when it is specified. You can use the grip bar to resize the Preview Pane.

Chart Data section - shows the chart source table with applied chart filter when it is specified. In addition, you can use this table to customize the color for each chart series.
Customizing the chart colors
By default, a chart uses colors from the chart palette specified in the Chart Widget Properties window. However, you can use the Chart Preview window to customize the color of an individual chart series.
NOTE: Alternatively, you can customize chart colors using the Assign Colors window.
To customize the color of an individual chart series:

Click in the cell of the Color column for the chart data row and select the desired color from the drop-down list. You can also click the ellipsis button to bring up the Color window and select one of standard colors or define a custom one. The preview pane above the Chart Data section immediately displays your changes.

To save your changes and close the Chart Preview window, click Close.
To restore the default color for a chart series:

Click in the cell of the Color column for the chart data row and select Default color.

To save your changes and close the Chart Preview window, click Close.
Changing the chart filter
Chart filters are filtering conditions that are applied to source data of a view-based chart. You can create chart filters using the Manage Chart Filters window. When a view-based chart has multiple chart filters, you can preview the chart with various filtering conditions.
To change a chart filter:

Click the filter name in the upper-right corner to open the drop-down list.

Select another chart filter from the list.
