Assign Colors window

The Assign Colors window allows you to adjust colors of the chart that appears on the Chart dashboard widget.

By default, a chart uses colors from the chart palette specified in the Chart Widget Properties window. However, you can use the Assign Colors window to customize the color of an individual chart series.

To access the Assign Colors window, click Adjust Colors on the Chart Widget Properties window when creating or modifying the Chart widget.

To customize the color of an individual chart series:

  1. Click Add. The new row appears.

  2. Click in the cell of the Series Name column and specify the chart series:

    • To specify an existing chart value, select that value from the drop-down list.

    • To specify a value that is not currently displayed in the chart, type in this value in the cell. When that value appears in the chart data, the chart will display it with your custom color.

  3. Click in the cell of the Series Color column and select the desired color from the drop-down list. You can also click the ellipsis button to bring up the Color window and select one of standard palette colors or define a custom color. To restore the default color for the chart series, select Default color.

  4. Click OK.
