Creating and saving custom views

You can create your own custom views by copying existing views and then customizing the copies.

To create a custom view:

1. Display the view to customize (for details, see Displaying views).

2. Save the view with a new name:

1. Select View > Current View > Save View As on the main menu.

2. Enter a name for the new view.

3. Click OK.

3. Customize the view to your needs by applying any of the following methods:

• Arranging grid columns and rows

• Filtering records

• Grouping records

• Displaying summary statistics

• Sorting records

• Customizing grid appearance

4. Save the changes by choosing View > Current View > Save Current View on the main menu.

NOTE: By default, Alloy Navigator Express converts the Quick Filter into the Advanced Filter, when you save a grid view (for details, see Working with views). To disable automatic conversion, clear the check box in the Advanced Filter Options section of the Advanced Preferences.
