Auto-creating Inventory Items records from the audit data

Alloy Navigator Express is integrated with Network Inventory. For information on using Network Inventory, see Network Inventory documentation.

When audit snapshots are imported from Network Inventory to Alloy Navigator Express, new Inventory Items records are automatically created.

As opposed to automatic license allocation for auto-created Computers, Alloy Navigator Express does not allocate software licenses to inventory items. Thus, if you want to allocate a license to an inventory item, manual allocation in the only way for that. For details, see Allocating Software Licenses.

When an auto-added Inventory Item is retired in Alloy Navigator Express, its original record is typically deleted from Network Inventory.
