Associating snapshot files with the Audit Snapshot Viewer

You can associate audit snapshot files (.adt and .adtx) with the Alloy Audit Snapshot Viewer using the Windows Settings App or by configuring the snapshot file properties.

IMPORTANT: Applies for Alloy Audit Tools version 6.2.0 or later.

To set the Audit Snapshot Viewer as the default program, follow these steps:

TIP: This instruction applies for Windows 10 and later.

  1. On the Start menu, select Settings .

  2. Select Apps > Default apps, scroll down and click Choose default apps by file type.

  3. Navigate to the .adt or .adtx file type, select its default application, and then choose Alloy Audit Snapshot Viewer from the list.

To associate audit snapshot files with the Alloy Audit Snapshot Viewer, follow these steps:

  1. Right-click an .adt or .adtx snapshot file and choose Properties from the pop-up menu. The General tab of the Properties window opens.

  2. In the Opens with field, click Change.

  3. Under Other options, click Alloy Audit Snapshot Viewer, and then click OK.

  4. Click OK.
