Modifying accounts

If you want to substitute users or change their authentication type, it is not necessary to create and configure new Alloy Navigator accounts. You can modify existing accounts.

To modify a user account:

  1. Under Users & Security > Accounts and Roles > Accounts, click the account to modify. The User Account form opens.

  2. Under Account information, click Modify. The Modify Login form opens.

  3. To change the user authentication type:

    • For Windows authentication:

      1. In the Authentication Type drop-down list, select Windows Native.

      2. Type a Windows user account (domain or local) in the Login field.

    • For Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication:

      1. In the Authentication Type drop-down list, select Standard or Single Sign-On.

      2. In the Username field, type in the user's email address.

      3. To enable the user to sign in with a password, select the Allow password authentication check box and then specify a password.

    • For Standard authentication:

      1. In the Authentication Type drop-down list, choose Standard or Single Sign-On.

      2. In the Username field, type in the username and then specify a password.

  4. To associate the account with a different person:

    • Click the ellipsis button in the Person field and choose a new Person record you want to associate with this account.

  5. Click OK to save the changes.

  6. Click OK to close the User Account form.
