Assets records

Asset records allow you to describe any assets owned by any organization. Optionally, you can associate an Asset with a configuration item (either Computer, or Hardware, or Software License). In this case, the Asset record stores the financial data about the Computer, or Hardware, or Software License while the configuration item record tracks the technical information.

To access the Assets grid, select either Asset Management > Assets in the Sidebar, or Go > Assets from the main menu.

The top pane of an open asset record window displays the ID and the status of the Asset.

Below the top pane, the following tabs are available:

• General tab

• Activity tab

• Finance tab

• Custom Data tab (optional)

• Related Objects tab

• Notes tab

• Attachments tab

• History tab
