Copying security roles

You can create a security role by copying an existing one.

NOTE: The new copied role will have no members.

To copy a security role:

  1. In the Users & Security > Accounts and Roles > Roles section, select a role to copy and click Copy Item on the Module menu. The Copy Role window appears.

  2. Type in a new role name and click OK. The Security Role window opens and the new role appears on the Security Roles list.

  3. Modify the role details as needed and click OK when done.
