Authorizing pending SSP registrations

If you have configured the self-registration to require authorization (see Configuring self-registration), you need to authorize pending registration requests from new customers before they can sign in to the Self Service Portal using their SSP Customer accounts.

To authorize pending registration requests:

  1. In the Self Service Portal > Self-Registration section, view all pending registration requests under Pending Registrations. If you need to refresh the list, press F5.

Each entry in the list displays these registration details:

    • Name - the full name of the self-registered user.

    • Login - the login name for the new SSP Customer account (the SSP displays this field as User Name).

    • E-mail - the primary e-mail address. As soon as you approve the registration, Alloy Navigator will send the registration confirmation to this address.

    • Request Date - the date and time (on the SSP Web server), when the registration request was submitted.

  2. Moderate pending registration requests:

    • To quickly approve or reject several registrations at once, select their records and click Approve or Reject on the Module menu. Alternatively, you can use these commands from the pop-up menu.

    • To view the details of a particular request before making a decision:

      1. Double-click a record. The Registration Details window opens. The window displays all fields from the Register form.

      2. If there are multiple pending requests and you want to view the details of the next request as soon as you approve or reject one, select the Go to the next record on Approve/Reject check box.

      3. Click either Approve or Reject.

      4. When done, click Close to close the Registration Details window.

  3. As you approve or reject pending registrations, they disappear from the Pending Registrations list. If you want to check the SSP Customer accounts and Person records that Alloy Navigator has created for approved registrations, go to Users & Security > Accounts and Roles > Accounts.

NOTE: All auto-created SSP Customer accounts have the Regular User access level. You can change their user access level, as needed. For details, see Changing user access level.
