Allocating Software Licenses

Once you have organized Tracked Software and Software License records, allocate Software Licenses to Computers. This will help you determine the areas where your company has either an excess or a shortage of licenses.

When the Alloy Discovery Connector imports audit snapshots to Alloy Navigator, it compares data from discovered installations in audit snapshots with existing Software License records in Alloy Navigator. When the information matches, the license gets allocated to the computer. See Auto-allocation of Software Licenses. However, you can always adjust license allocations manually.
