Using External Command for Running Alloy Navigator Components

You can use the External Command operation for running various Alloy Navigator components as well. For example, you can configure an External Command operation for opening the Settings App from within the Desktop App.

The following command accesses the Settings App for the database using the current user's credentials and opens the Workflow and Business Logic > Service Desk > Work Orders > Classification section:

AlloyNavigatorMngr.exe /AutoLogin /Connection="ConnectionName" /WinAuth=%[<Initiator>].[UseWinAuthentication]% /User=%[<Initiator>].[Login]% /OpenPage="LookupLists:Work Orders"

NOTE: "ConnectionName" is any connection for accessing the target database. Note that /WinAuth and /User options override the account settings from the connection.
