Controlling the Action Bar Options

The availability of workflow Step Actions is controlled by several factors, including user’s security roles, object’s type, and the object’s status. Some Step Actions may have additional criteria that control when the Step is available.

INFO: For details, see Actions.

Depending on the type of the object and effective permissions of the current user, some of the Steps are not allowed, and Alloy Navigator hides such Steps from the user.

At the same time, some Steps may be unavailable due to the status of the current object and/or additional criteria.

By default, these Steps’ commands are hidden from the Action Bar. If you prefer, you can configure the Action Bar to display unavailable Steps dimmed out as follows :

From the Sidebar, navigate to General > System Performance.

  • Under Workflow Action Bar, click Dim out unavailable Actions. You can undo your changes by clicking Hide unavailable Actions.

For your changes to take effect, you and other users must restart the Desktop App and start a new Web App session.

NOTE: The Workflow Action Bar customization option does not apply to the Mobile App.
