Configuring Object Identifiers

Every Alloy Navigator object such as Incident or Computer has an identifier that is unique within the database. The system generates these identifiers automatically according to the auto-generation policy. Some identifiers such as Barcode, Asset Tag and Purchase Order Number are generated in a different way. Each of them still contains a number that uniquely names an object within the database. You can control the auto-generation of these identifiers or customize the format for other identifiers.
