Controlling the Auto-Generation of Identifiers

You can disable the auto-generation of the following identifiers:

• IT Asset and Configuration Management > Asset Tag— This identifier applies only toAssets.

• IT Asset and Configuration Management > Barcode— This identifier applies only toAssets.

• Purchasing and Contracts > Purchase Order Number — This identifier applies only to Purchase Orders

To control the auto-generation of these identifiers, take the following steps:

1. From the Sidebar, navigate to General > Object Identifiers.
2. Double-click an identifier in Purchase Order ID of Purchasing and Contracts section. The Auto-generation Policy[Identifier] dialog box opens.

   

3. To enable or disable the auto-generation, select or clear the Generate automatically check box.
4. Click OK.
