System Parsing Rule

Updated in 2025.1.1

Alloy Navigator includes a built-in parsing rule for extracting object identifiers (IDs) using the MessageID Tag. This system tag contains a specially formatted object ID and may be automatically inserted into outgoing notifications. All threaded replies to these notifications also include the MessageID Tag.

The Mail Connector scans incoming emails for the MessageID Tag. When found, it extracts the object ID and stores it in a virtual field for further processing by the workflow engine.

Additionally, threaded replies can be detected even if the MessageID Tag is missing. The system checks the In-Reply-To and References headers to locate the original object, ensuring replies are linked correctly.

You can also create custom parsing rules to extract almost any type of information from email messages
