Alloy Navigator Desktop App

The Desktop App is the desktop user interface for IT personnel to all Alloy Navigator (AN) functions.

There are many ways to access the Desktop App:

• On the desktop, double-click the Alloy Navigator shortcut;
• In the Alloy Control Panel, click the Desktop App icon (see Introducing Alloy Navigator Components);

Settings

The Settings is an administrative tool for customizing Alloy Navigator’s behavior and tailoring it to the needs of your organization.

There are many ways to access the Settings:

• In the Alloy Control Panel, click the Settings icon (see Introducing Alloy Navigator Components);
• From the Alloy Navigator Desktop App, choose Tools > Settings on the main menu.

Database Management tool

The Database Management tool helps you perform the following tasks:

• Create a new database
• Migrate data from an earlier version of Alloy Navigator
• Upgrade the Alloy Navigator 2024.x database to the latest version
• Activate your Alloy Navigator database by applying the product’s digital license

You can start the Database Management tool as follows:

• In the Alloy Control Panel, click the Database Management tool icon (see Introducing Alloy Navigator Components).
