Mobile Client Requirements

Alloy Navigator comes with two native mobile applications: Alloy Navigator Mobile App and Alloy Inventory Scanner.

Alloy Navigator Mobile App

Introduced in Alloy Navigator 8.4

Current app version: 2.0

The Alloy Navigator mobile app provides access to the Service Desk module of Alloy Navigator, which gives your technicians mobile access to Announcements, Incidents, Service Requests, and Work Orders.

IMPORTANT: Alloy Navigator mobile app requires that Alloy Navigator API module is installed and configured for the Access Token authentication. For details, see Installing and Configuring the API Module.

Alloy Inventory Scanner

Introduced in Alloy Navigator 8.0

Alloy Inventory Scanner is a mobile application for physical asset inventory, which enables your technicians to scan the barcode of an asset (a computer, hardware, or a software license) using the camera on their mobile devices, and perform physical inventory on the spot by confirming the physical location of the asset.

Alloy Inventory Scanner requirements for mobile devices are as follows:

Alloy Inventory Scanner for Android Android 5.0 or later
