Selecting multiple records
To work with multiple records, you need to select these records first. You can do so by following any method described below or by using a combination of them.
To select a group of adjacent records:
-
Display the grid to select records from.
-
In the grid, click the first item in the group of items you want to select.
-
Press and hold down the SHIFT key while you scroll the list and click the last item in the group. All the items in between will be selected.
To select a group of non-adjacent records:
-
Display the grid to select records from.
-
In the grid, click the first item in the group of nonadjacent items to be selected simultaneously.
-
Press and hold down the CTRL key while you scroll the list and click all the other items you want to include in the group. Only the items you clicked on will be selected.
To select all records:
-
Display the desired grid.
-
Press CTRL+A. Alternatively, you can click the upper-left corner of the grid. All items in the list will be selected.
NOTE: You can use the methods described above to cancel selection of records. For example, you can select all records by pressing CTRL+A, and then deselect some records by holding down the CTRL key and clicking the desired records.
To invert selection:
-
Select multiple records in the grid and press CTRL+I. Alternatively, you can choose Edit > Invert Selection from the main menu.
NOTE: If all the records from the list were selected, the Invert Selection option will cancel the selection of the records.
