Scanning segments

This article explains how to scan your network or cloud environment using AlloyScan.

1. Open the Network section and select a segment.

2. Click Scan at the top of the Details section.

   • Network segments

     When scanning a network segment, AlloyScan will build a list of computers and network devices detected on the segment. The summary shows the total number of discovered nodes and basic information for each, such as NetBIOS name, IP address, DNS name, and more.

   • Cloud segments

     When you scan a cloud segment, AlloyScan will list the resources you selected when creating the segment. For each resource, it shows the type and name.

3. When the scan is complete, a summary of the results will be displayed.
