Active tasks
The Active tasks page in the Tasks and Services section allows administrators to monitor and manage tasks in progress, displaying a table of active tasks with details such as device, task name, start date, scope, initiator, and status. The section also enables administrators to cancel any task if needed. By monitoring the progress and status of tasks, administrators can ensure that activities are completed successfully and take action if needed.
Tasks can include any number of activities, such as software updates, security scans, or user management tasks. When a task is initiated, it is added to the table on the Active tasks page. The table comprises the following columns:
-
Device: The name of the device on which the task is being executed.
-
Task: The name of the task, which can be customized based on the specifics of the task.
-
Start Date: The date and time when the task was initiated.
-
Scope: The scope of the task, which can be either segment-wide or limited to specific devices or users.
-
Initiator: The name of the user who initiated the task.
-
Status: The status of the task, such as In Progress, Completed, or Failed. If a task fails, the administrator can review the error details and take appropriate action.
The Active tasks section also allows administrators to abort any task that is currently in progress. To do so, select a task in the table and click Abort. This will stop the task, which can be useful if the task was initiated by mistake or if there are issues that need to be addressed.
