Specify the target server and database

Use this page to log in to the Microsoft SQL server where you want to restore an Alloy Navigator Express database and specify the name for the restored database. To proceed with restoring the database, your account must have the sysadmin role on the SQL Server.

To log in to the Microsoft SQL server and specify the database name:

1. In the SQL Server drop-down list, select the server you want to restore the database on.

2. Provide your credentials to log in to the SQL Server:

   • To log in using your Windows account, choose Windows Authentication. You are not required to type in a login and password.

   • To use your SQL Server account, choose SQL Server Authentication and enter your SQL login name and password.

3. In the Database field, specify the name for the restored database. You can either create an all-new database by typing a name for the database or overwrite an existing one by selecting a database from the drop-down list.

4. Click Next.
