Choosing a Windows account

You have to choose a Windows account when you want to create or select an account that uses Windows Authentication (an Alloy Navigator Express account, a Database Account for the Database Access Key, or a Startup account for the Automation Server).

You can find and choose a Windows account in the standard Windows Select User dialog box.

To select an account:

1. In the Select User dialog box, click the Locations button and choose a location where you want to search for an account. The location can be a Windows domain or a local machine.

2. Enter the user name to find and click Check Names.

3. Select the user name in the list and click OK to close the dialog box.
