AI Assistant system prompt

The AI Assistant for the Self Service Portal includes a default system prompt that defines its general behavior and tone. The default prompt is intentionally generic and permissive to support different organizations and industries.

You can add organization-specific instructions, communication rules, formatting requirements, or behavioral restrictions.

To edit the system prompt for the AIĀ Assistant:

  1. Open the Admin Center.

  2. Go to Apps and Portals > Self Service Portal and select your portal instance, if needed.

  3. Open the AI Assistant page.

  4. On the General tab, select the Enable system prompt editing checkbox to enable prompt editing.

  5. Customize the prompt.

  6. Save your changes

To revert to the original system prompt, click Restore Default.
