General spell checking options
With general spell checking options, you can configure checking spelling of your Network Inventory application. For example, you can configure the behavior of your Network Inventory application so that the application corrects misspelled words automatically. You can also add dictionaries to check the spelling of a word or a text written in a different languages.
Options window - Spell Checking tab
You use the Spell Checking tab of the Options window to customize checking spelling of the Network Inventory application. To access the Options window, select Tools > Options from the main menu.
Use spell checker - disables or enables checking spelling. For details, see Enabling or disabling spell checking.
Options section - contains the following check boxes (for details, see Enabling or disabling real-time spell checking and automatic correction):
Check spelling as you type - enables checking the spelling when you are typing text in various text fields.
Use AutoCorrect - enables automatic text corrections. More options for the auto-correction are available in the AutoCorrect Options window.
Dictionaries section - lists the available dictionaries for spell checking in various languages. You can customize this list by adding dictionaries. For details, see Viewing installed dictionaries.

Enabling or disabling spell checking
By default, Network Inventorychecks spelling in the text fields and finds misspelled words automatically. Sometimes, using spell checker in the system with low memory can cause slow performance. In this case, you can turn off checking the spelling in your Network Inventory application. If needed, you can always turn the spell checker on again.
To disable spell checker of the Network Inventory application:

Select Tools > Options from the main menu, then click the Spell Checking tab.

Clear theUse spell checker check box. To use spell checker, select this check box.

Enabling or disabling real-time spell checking and automatic correction
By default, the Network Inventory application checks spelling automatically while you are typing the text. Network Inventory uses wavy red underlines to indicate possible spelling problems.
Network Inventory also automatically corrects misspelled words that are similar to words in the main dictionary that the spelling checker uses.
NOTE: To use these options, you must first turn on the spell checker.
To disable "AutoCorrect" and "Check spelling as you type":

Select Tools > Options from the main menu, then click the Spell Checking tab.

In the Options section, clear theCheck spelling as you type and theUse AutoCorrect check boxes.

Click OK.
To enable automatic text correction and check spelling as you type:

Select Tools > Options from the main menu, then click the Spell Checking tab.

In the Options section, select theUse AutoCorrect and theCheck spelling as you typecheck boxes.

Viewing installed dictionaries
Once you installed a custom spell checker dictionary, Network Inventory uses the dictionary for checking spelling in the text fields.
To view installed spell checker dictionaries:

Select Tools > Options from the main menu, then click the Spell Checking tab.

Under Dictionaries, look through the list of installed dictionaries.
