Modifying software recognition rules

You can modify any existing recognition rule as follows:

1. Open the software product whose rule to modify.

2. On the Recognition Rules tab, double-click the rule. The Software Recognition Rule [Rule Name ] window opens.

3. In the Software Recognition Rule [Rule Name ] window, make the necessary changes:

   • To modify the rule's conditions, perform the appropriate action(s) (all conditions of the software product are connected with AND logic):

   • To add a condition based on the installation information, choose Add > Registry Condition. Create the condition as described in Creating registry conditions.

   • To add a file-based condition, choose Add > File Condition. Create the condition as described in Creating file conditions.

   • To add a file-based condition, choose Add > Custom Registry Key Condition. Create the condition as described in Creating custom registry key conditions.

   • To edit a condition, double-click it. In the condition’s window, make the necessary changes and click OK.

   • To delete a condition, select it and click Delete.

4. Click OK.
