Task Progress window

The Task Progress window displays detailed information about the task progress. For example, when performing the Direct Network Scan of a Site, you can monitor the progress status of each discovery or audit operation, the number of succeeded and failed operations, the number of operations that remain to perform, the total number of operations including succeeded, remained and failed ones, and the number of discovered (enumerated) Network Nodes.

In case of any operation failures, Network Inventory shows the corresponding messages in the Status column (for details, see Audit Troubleshooting). The Skipped status indicates that the operation for the same Network Node was invoked by multiple tasks at the same time. To evade the failure during the data processing, one task is automatically assigned to perform the operation, when all the other operations for the Node are skipped.

Network Inventory can also automatically resume operations that were forcefully interrupted. For example, if the Automation Server was restarted during Direct Network Scan Audit, the operations will also be restarted from the point of interruption. For other tasks, the Interrupted status will be shown in the Task List and a new task will be added automatically. Network Inventory will update the title of a newly-added task with the (Restarted) ending displayed in the grid. For example, Check for New Snapshots (Restarted).

Additionally, the Task Progress window shows the Computer Name, Start Time, and Total Time of the operation.

The Queued column in the Task Progress window provides information about the tasks that are waiting to be executed. It is strongly recommended to keep the number of tasks in the queue at a maximum of 100. Exceeding this limit may lead to performance issues or delays in task execution.

In the Task Progress window, the following actions are available:

NOTE: You can not restart or cancel the operation in the Uploading status.
