Changing calendar views

With calendars used in Alloy Navigator Express you can view the information that you need by day, by week, or by month. In addition, you can customize your view to show as many days as you want.

The mini-calendar in the top-right corner displays the days that the calendar shows and helps you to change your view. The current day (today) is marked with a red square.

Day view

The day view displays events for a single day. To apply this view, click Day on the Module menu. You can click the date that you want in the mini-calendar to show the events for that date. To move forward or backward by a day, use the arrows in the upper-left corner above the calendar. To return to the current day, click Today on the Module menu.

The day is broken down by hours. Working and non-working time is marked with different colors: working time is white, when non-working time is colored. You can change the time line step: right-click the time ruler and select the desired interval from the pop-up menu, from 60 minutes to 5 minutes.

The gray panel above the time line displays all-day events. Scroll buttons at the top or bottom of the time ruler indicate whether any events exist outside the visible region of the view. Clicking these buttons will scroll the view to the next or previous event.

Week view

The week view displays events for a whole week. To apply this view, click Week on the Module menu. To show the week that you want, select a date within that week in the mini-calendar and click Week. To move forward or backward by a week, use the arrows in the upper-left corner above the calendar.

Month view

The month view displays events for a whole month. To apply this view, click Month on the Module menu. To show the month that you want, select a date within that month in the mini-calendar and click Month. To move forward or backward by a month, use the arrows in the upper-left corner above the calendar or in the mini-calendar. You can also use the scroll bar to navigate to the desired month.

NOTE: When scrolling, the events appear in the calendar two seconds later after you release the scroll thumb.

Scroll buttons in a calendar cell indicate that there are too many events of the same date and the cell can not show them all at once. To make other events of this date visible, click these buttons to switch the view to the corresponding date.

Custom view

The custom view displays the number of the day that you select. To customize your view, on the mini-calendar, drag the pointer from your start date to your end date. Alternatively, to select several days in a row, press Shift+Arrow. To select nonadjacent days, select a single day or several days in a row, and then hold down the Ctrl key while you click other days that you want to select.
